  I recently brought some jewelry in to determine whether it was "real" or costume. (100-year-old relative) Since it had been bought for her, in Hong Kong as gifts, by another we weren't sure of the quality. Hufford's jeweler looked at each piece carefully and determined 3 were the "real thing." Had a new clasp put on the "real" necklace but no charge for giving us the diagnosis on the genuine and costume jewelry. Very helpful. I suspect the "other", who is long gone, was taken in Hong Kong. Always shop with a reputable jeweler like Hufford's!
